I think that the abbot should decide when to use his power (stealing a gold piece from the richest player).
In this site, I see that his power is automatically triggered at the beginning of the Abbot's turn. This behavior makes him much less powerful than he should be: it the abbot is the richest, he could spend his money and after that take a gold piece.
There is no rule saying that the abbot's power is enabled at the beginning of his turn, so I think it should be changed.
